Venue Information

The Oklahoma State Fair Arena, also known as "The Big House" or simply State Fair Arena, is a large multi-purpose arena, located on the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds in west Oklahoma City, Oklahoma USA. It seats 10,944 fans in its usual configuration.

The formal name of the arena at its opening was the James Norick State Fair Arena, named for the city's mayor at the time. The building was also unique in it had the largest roof of its type in the world.

This is the third largest city-owned multipurpose arena in the city, after the Ford Center and the arena at the Cox Convention Center.

Today it is used primarily to hold events such as rodeos, horse-shows, and other equine events at the State Fairgrounds as well as a backup facility for concerts and sporting events.

The arena has hosted the state basketball playoffs in the past and was home to the Oklahoma City Blazers Central Hockey League franchise from 1965 to 1977.
